Job Title: Director
China TV Media Group (USA), Inc. dba Channel 31.2 HTTV is a television & special event production company and broadcasting service provider. Our production base is in the nation's largest Chinese community in the center of the San Gabriel Valley, near the City of Los Angeles & close to Hollywood. HTTV is the largest multi-media production base & entertainment production service center for the local Chinese community in the greater Los Angeles area.
To continue providing entertainment programs and productions for our audience, we need the professional services of a Director. The Director will help manage and direct our productions by making creative decisions regarding script, actors, set design, sound, special effects, and more to provide our audience with high-quality entertainment. The Director will plan the details for our productions and coordinate with our crew members throughout the production process to ensure we have smooth broadcasts and operations from planning to broadcasting.
The hired individual will be responsible for the following duties:
Coordinate with producers, advertisers, screenwriters, editors, and other stakeholders to determine the purposes, scopes, and specifications of the TV programs, ads, and other productions;
Review scripts, plots, stories, and lines and suggest changes and modifications for the scripts;
Conduct auditions for casting members;
Choose settings and locations for filming and determine how the scenes will be shot in these settings;
Plan, design, and coordinate the camera work, lighting, and sound effects for our productions;
Review filmed footage and clips to determine the scope of post-production.
Review finished product to ensure conformance to production and broadcast standards and identify areas for improvement in future productions and broadcasts.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in filmmaking;
College coursework in cinematography, screenwriting, producing, and directing;
Strong knowledge of multimedia production methods.
